Cracknell to Exit APL in London

Ammirati Puns Lintas has made several management changes in its London office. William Eccleshare, who had been chief executive will replace Andrew Cracknell as chairman. Cracknell will remain regional director of Northern Europe. Chris Thomas will step up as chief executive from his position as managing director.Cracknell is expected to leave the shop at the end of the year.

Medicus Wins Nolvadex Task

Medicus Communications has been awarded integrated marketing duties for Zeneca's Nolvadex brand. The pharmaceutical company is awaiting regulatory approval for the the hormonal therapy tamoxifen citrate, prescribed after a patient has been treated for breast cancer to maintain remission. Zeneca plans to spend over $50 million on advertising in the coming year.

D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles hired creative executives Marc Burkhalter and David Micklewright from Ogilvy & Mather's branding unit. Burkhalter and Micklewright were executive director and managing director, respectively at Ogilvy's Brand Integration Group.
