Cross-national differences in managers' willingness to justify ethically suspect behaviors: A test of institutional anomie theory
Article Abstract:
The importance of understanding unethical conduct from a cross-national perspective is increasing with a rise in globalization. The anomie theory was used to specify the issues regarding managerial ethical reasoning, and offer specific hypotheses regarding the effects of national culture and social institutions on managerial ethical reasoning.
