Danger signs missed
Article Abstract:
Australian Reserve Bank's recent decision to defer the interest rate hike is not to be interpreted as all is well with Australian economy. Some of the businesses are trying to recover the margins on sales slowdown by hiking the prices further, but such strategies will not work in economic slowdown. Surveys conducted by the National Australia Bank, D&B Australia and Sensis definitely highlight lower employment and investment in businesses, sharp fall in sales, delay in payment of bills etc., which are indication enough of the economic slowdown.
