Dongara's forgotten oil beckons anew
Article Abstract:
Oil was discovered at Dongara, Australia in the 1960s, but was abandoned at the time due to low crude prices. Arc Energy has purchased the site from CMS Energy Corporation for $27 million Australian and is now planning to recover oil and the remaining gas from the area. Any success will help boost the company's stocks. As petroleum exploration techniques have vastly improved in the last 30 years, development may yield results.
