Dynamics of planned organizational change: assessing empirical support for a theoretical model
Article Abstract:
This study employed meta-analytic procedures to evaluate the potential validity of a model of planned organizational change. Hypotheses derived from this model focus on the relationships among planned change interventions and three classes of organizational variables, assessing work settings, individual behavior, and organizational outcomes. The aggregated results of 52 evaluations of planned change interventions were largely consistent with the hypotheses, providing considerable support for the model as a whole. Recommendations are made for future research on organizational change evaluation. (Reprinted by permission of the publisher.)

Assessing the validity of the Cox, Zmud, and Clark material-requirements-planning audit instrument
Article Abstract:
The goal of this study is to perform a partial validation for the MRP Audit Instrument developed by J.F. Cox and his associates. The first survey includes responses from 38 members of the American Production and Inventory Control Society and from six experts in operations management. Results from the initial study indicate that 29 of the first 79 items represented some type of identifiable content. While trying to define the content domain through factor analysis, the second study showed that 17 of the items defined three basic elements: system design process, the system's usefulness, and complexity.

Assessing the Sustained Effects of a Stress Management Intervention on Anxiety and Locus of Control
Article Abstract:
Short-term, behavior intervention programs for relaxation and anxiety-reduction can be effective. These relatively new programs are called stress management. The effects of such programs can continue to be felt during real-life stressful events. Therefore the benefits can be long- lasting and useful.
