Economy: September jobless rate steady at 5.6%
Article Abstract:
The unemployment rate stayed at 5.6% in Sep 1995, according to figures released by the Labor Dept in Oct 1995. The figure is a positive economic factor because a change would have shown the reduction in interest rates was not needed to maintain the economy's pace. The number of nonfarm jobs rose.
