Economy minister Derbez putting domestic business development ahead of FTAs
Article Abstract:
Issues are examined concerning statements by Mexican Secretary of the Economy Luis Ernesto Derbez that he will shift the Ministry's focus from free trade agreements to fostering domestic economic growth, especially as it applies to small businesses. Topics include his goal of consolidating existing free trade agreements to serve the needs of all domestic economic sectors, and efforts to increase the competitiveness of Mexican businesses.
