Evaluating merger performance
Article Abstract:
In evaluating performance and the justifiability of mergers, one must use empirical data to address such questions as shareholder's return, risk profiles, and operating results. Average studies as well as micro studies need to be evaluated. The acquiring company should develop the same assessment techniques as would for any investment.

Sanctions, incentives, and corporate behavior
Article Abstract:
Sanctions are effective in changing corporate behavior. The usual short-term outlook of corporations are often changed by such sanction measures as bad publicity and personal liability. Such measures will ultimately improve both the social and financial performance of businesses.
