Going has been rough for the Australian horticultural industry with citrus canker, a plant disease surfacing in Queensland, possible imports of diseased bananas and apples being contemplated by the government, and of course, the labor problems. The recent spurt in orders for fruits from China and India has rejuvenated the dejected industry, which can now increase its market share overseas.
