GM recalls nearly a million cars, citing a problem with air bags
Article Abstract:
A voluntary recall of nearly 1 million cars by GM Corp. follows 301 reports with 130 injuries resulting from faulty air bag inflation. The recalled vehicles include 103,000 Cadillac DeVilles, Concourses, Sevilles and Eldorados from the 1995 model years and 863,000 Chevrolet Caviliers and Pontiac Sunfires from the 1996 and 1997 model years. Reports of defective air bag inflation problems are being investigated in other auto manufacturer's vehicles by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The worldwide fashion community was surprised by Isaac Mizrahi's announcement that he will shut down his designing business due to declining sales and the sudden loss of financial backing from Chanel Inc. Mr. Mizrahi, who had been designated by fashion industry pundits as the likely American successor to fashion gurus Donna Karen and Calvin Klein, had disappointed Chanel by his failure to create a signature image that would lead to lucrative licensing contracts and a cheaper secondary collection.
