The two of the five firms namely, Calabro Partners and Alexander and Spencer that belonged to the failed accounting consolidator Garrisons Accounting Group are continuing to negotiate the terms for management buyouts with Garrisons' administrators, Taylor Woodings. Garrisons, 23% of which was owned by Kerry Packer's Challenger International, announced to the Australian Stock Exchange on April 10 that it was going into voluntary administration.

Despite the 2002 drought, the rise in revenue for Boyce Chartered Accountants is attributed to the expansion of its offices in Australia and limiting the partners' retirement age at 55. The strategies followed by Boyce Chartered Accountants for its prosperity are presented.
