Gene mutation may produce more fat cells
Article Abstract:
Scientists have discovered a new gene mutation in humans that appears to cause the body to produce more fat cells. The discovery is a continuation on previous discoveries in mice. The gene mutation seems to either signal the body to produce additional fat cells or strenghthen its fat-storage mechnisms. The discoveries are the latest proof that genetic defects may be the cause of one of the most common health concerns in the US.
