Breaking the comfort barrier; car makers adding amenities in push to revive sales of smaller models
Article Abstract:
Small cars will take on the look of a little more luxury in the new models. Plastic bumpers and tiny wheels will go; roomier interiors and better designs, also prices a little higher, will be in. The changes are hoped to help rejuvenate suffering small car sales. Meeting federal regulations for fuel economy is also a motivator for car makers.
