Great Plains helps Protection One, Inc. make its customers secure
Article Abstract:
Residential security service company Protection One Inc. was able to improve its service by upgrading its existing software and hardware systems. The company searched for a solution that would provide the different branches of the company to gain access to customer information as the need arises. With information becoming instantly available, employees could answer the phone, deal with customers' queries and handle any issue. The upgrade should also result in a platform that could allow quick information sharing and feature enough flexibility to accommodate future changes. The company decided that these requirements were sufficiently satisfied by Microsoft BackOffice with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows NT. Completing the solution was the Dynamics Client/Server Plus for Microsoft SQL Server, a financial management suite for Microsoft BackOffice from Great Plains Software.

CA-Accpac/2000
Article Abstract:
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has found enormous benefits in its implementation of the integrated accounting software CA-Accpac/2000. The program was chosen for its multicurrency features, spreadsheet reporting and accounting segment capabilities. With the help of the program, the organization can now coordinate the financial reports of its many field offices, program offices and national headquarters. Although initially met by hesitance and caution by staffers, the software was eventually embraced by the organization workers after they realized that it enabled them to perform their work easily and efficiently. The ultimate benefit from CA-Accpac/2000 is that it enables WWF to convince donors that it has sound financial accountability, thereby encouraging them to provide more funding.
