Toys 'R' Us Inc.'s Krysiak resigns posts as president, chief operating officer
Article Abstract:
In a surprise resignation, Bruce Krysiak claimed his leaving Toys 'R' Us after less than a year as president and COO is not because of the troubles the company may be experiencing, but in order to pursue other interests. Speculation is that his duties were not as fulfilling as he anticipated they would be. Others speculate that the experience he brought from previous employer, Dollar General, wasn't appropriate experience for the toy industry.

Shutting up Furby: talkative toy meets 'deep sleep'
Article Abstract:
Hasbro's Tiger Electronics has created a compromise version of Furby, the toy that talks too much. Now there is a Furby that will go into a 'deep sleep' and needs to be turned upside down and back again to reactivate the chattering that gets on the nerves of some adults. Sales of the original version haven't slowed since the holiday season that started in late 1998.
