Homebuilding industry
Article Abstract:
Demand for housing has been spurred in the US with a high level of consumer confidence, low unemployment and a strong overall economy, and earnings for the homebuilding industry have been good as a result. Homebuilding industry
Article Abstract:
There has been speculation on Wall Street about homebuilding industry consolidation in the late 1990s after recent mergers. Smaller firms can become larger, and regional firms can avoid the local market risks through mergers. In addition, the lower interest rates in 1998 can help give home builders better returns. These stocks are expected to perform well, but investors must evaluate companies before making commitments.
