Article Abstract:
Benchmarking has enabled Seitz Corp to reduce its prototype development time from 10 to two weeks resulting in a four-time business increase. Quality makes a difference
Article Abstract:
Advice regarding the use of total quality management (TQM) in small companies is presented. It is clear that TQM is tailored for big companies, whose organizational structures and capital resources are very different from those of small companies. Aiming for quality requires plenty of capital, which small companies have little of. Furthermore, executives of small companies have multiple roles and should thus spend more time running the company rather than preaching about quality.

Article Abstract:
Strategic partnerships allow for the influx of badly needed monetary support, and technical, management and marketing expertise. However, a bad partnership can strain industrial relations and productivity. Informed decisions on whether to form a partnership or not may be effected by setting definite company goals, studying the company's requirements and strengths and finding a partner that complements the company's capabilities.
