Turnaround of high technology firms in Russia: the case of Micron
Article Abstract:
Some state companies in Russia declined after the end of the Cold War due to their failure to compete in the global market. High technology firm Micron Corp. avoided this problem through the use of quality materials and effective human resource policies. The turnaround strategy adopted by Micron focused on issues such as retrenchment, crisis situation and corporate culture. This strategy exhibit similarities and differences with the strategies adopted by high technology companies in the US.

Article Abstract:
Middle-aged female professionals are advised to continue balancing the demands of family and professional life and not allow the latter to overwhelm them. More personal time and the elimination of non-essential activities are likewise recommended. Organizations, on the other hand, should allocate rewards appropriately to keep their women leaders and staff motivated. It is also high time that they promote qualified women to top management positions.
