What does it take to pass the CMA exam?
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted among successful candidates who took the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam about the various factors they felt were necessary to getting a CMA certification. The polled new CMAs used a variety of tools to prepare for the exam, among which were structured review progarms, self-study review literature, and college courses. A majority of the successful candidates suggested that a well-organized study plan that uses time management and marked by plenty of practice was the most effective technique for preparing for the CMA exam. However, personal commitment was seen as the most vital factor to passing the exam. The high (71%) response rate generated by the survey reflects the great pride the successful candidates felt for achieving the CMA designation.
