Superannuation funds with overseas shares will do well during 1997-8. The depreciation of the Australian dollar and the increase in the value of overseas shares make these funds into excellent investments. Superannuation funds have had excellent earnings during the 1990s with double digit returns especially since inflation has remained approximately 3% per year.
