Industry review: pharmacy benefit management
Article Abstract:
Pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) negotiate with drug manufacturers and retailers for discounts and rebates on prescriptions and the stocks of three largest PBMs offer superior three-five year potential although with a measure of risk. It is suggested that new drugs should continue to be developed and new legislation should boost spending on drugs with the PBMs dominating this market.
