Institutional entrepreneurship in emerging fields: HIV/AIDS treatment advocacy in Canada
Article Abstract:
A quantitative study of the emerging field of HIV/AIDS treatment advocacy in Canada found that institutional entrepreneurship involves three sets of critical activities. The occupation of 'subject positions' that has wide legitimacy and bridge diverse stakeholders, the theorization of new practices through discursive and political means, and institutionalization of those new practices by connecting them to stakeholders' routines and values.
