Investing in people USA style
Article Abstract:
The UK still finds it hard to identify and develop the leaders required by industry and commerce, despite the introduction of the Investors in People National Standard, according to Dr Mortimer Feinberg, professor emeritus of the City University of New York and a leading expert on business psychology. Most British people feel that leaders are born, rather than made, and there has therefore been little effort to teach leadership skills. It is now time for the UK to look to the US for an example, moving away from the focus on envy, rigidity and stability which has until now hampered business success.
