Sony rolls out Playstation ads despite shortage

Sony's Playstation 2 ad campaign begins today with billboard and movie theater ads. October 26 is the launch date. The company has cut in half its predicted delivery to 500,000 units. It still plans to ship 100,000 units per week until year end. Sony is expected to spend $150 mil on advertising this year. TBWA Chiat Day produced the effort's TV ads.

It's agency hunting season for everything from beauty products to boysenberry jam

Smucker, Fleet Boston, PNC Bank and Celebrity Cruises are just a few of the businesses that have found new agencies for specific advertising and direct marketing accounts. Ad account reviews and agency changes are an on-going process in the marketing business.
