Juniper hits profit forecast, lifting stock
Article Abstract:
The first quarter results of Juniper Networks heartened investors by meeting analysts' estimates of $58.6 million or 17 cents a share. This compares very favorably with a net income of $8.1 million for the same period last year. The news sent Juniper stock up 18% to $50.38 a share. The company did warn that the slow down in tech equipment orders might weaken revenue in the second half of 2001.
