The world's second biggest commercial insurer, Lloyd's of London, is planning to agree with the requests of some of its syndicates to increase capacity of its insurance sum by at least 16%. According to the chairman of Lloyd's of London, Peter Levene, the company is expecting the industry to remain in good shape, and the premiums will remain high and insurance company will make more money in the coming years, if the situations remained same.

The drawbacks of dual listing of stocks are discussed by analyzing the case of Brambles Industries, which when merged with GKN in August, 2001 adopted a dual-listed structure of stock listing, which increased its shareholder value. But the experience shows difference of 15% in Brambles share price in Australia when compared to London.

Westpac and AMP formed an alliance to cross sell products through a joint venture, AMPAC, in 1991. AMP is valued at $8.2 billion with its share price of $4.43 and Westpac's market capitalization is about $30 billion.
