Manufactured housing/rec. vehicle
Article Abstract:
The prefabricated houses industry has been extremely active since December, 1991 and analysts predict that they will be outstanding investment in the coming year. Investors should be careful to check the records of individual companies. The recreational vehicle industry is also making a strong comeback after a poor 1995 performance where inventories rose to unusual highs. Although both industries are expected to outperform the market in 1997, investors will do better with prefabricated housing industry securities than will recreational vehicle industry stocks.

Manufactured housing/rec. vehicle
Article Abstract:
Manufactured home shipments increased almost 8% in 1996, mainly due to increased consumer confidence, housing demand, and economic recovery. The long-term prospect for the industry is also positive as manufactured homes are more affordable than conventional houses. Manufacturers of recreational vehicles improved results in 1996, and prospects are also good for 1997. Individual stocks in this industry are attractive investments in 1997.
