Broking firms are battling to survive the bear market and meet the compliance rules have to cut back on their research and the sharpest pruning are in the resources area. The painful reality for most small gold stocks is that declining research means fewer advisers know the stories and are banned from giving investment advice on what they cannot prove they know.
