Modelbase construction with object-oriented constructs
Article Abstract:
Object-oriented database management system constructs are used to develop modelbase construction mechanisms for decision support systems. The desired modelbase is to maintain logical independence among components of the decision support system, while relieving two types of mismatches. Intelligent and stabilized integration of modelbase with both solver components and with database components of the decision support system are sought.

Am empirical investigation of information search strategies with implications for decision support system design
Article Abstract:
The effective design of decision support systems (DSS) rests on understanding information searching strategies employed by the system user. The amount of information to be processed affects decision making, as does the amount of choice. One study of DSS systems suggests several ways of displaying information that makes it more accessible to the user.
