Modeling the multilevel determinants of top management team behavioral integration
Article Abstract:
Extending Ham brick's (1994) concept of behavioral integration, a Meta - construct of top management team process, it is theorized on the extent to which CEO, team, and firm-level determinants shape behavioral integration. Using survey data from 402 firms, a reliable measure of the construct is developed and strong support for their structural model was found.

This article helps to explain how altruism influences agency relationships within a family firm, incentive pay given to family members within the company, and why business practices in a family firm differ from non-family-owned businesses.

Exploring the agency consequences of ownership dispersion among the directors of private family firms
Article Abstract:
This research article shows that during boom markets, the relationship between debt use and the dispersion of ownership within a family firm can be graphed as a U-shaped curve.
