More federal funding will help to get innovation back on course
Article Abstract:
The Australian Federal Government, in its Dec 1997 industry policy statement, announced the dedication of an additional A$43 million for the country's Innovation Investment Fund. The fund will have five private-sector managers, and the Industry Research and Development Board plans to re-open applications for managers. Money from the fund could reach technology firms as soon as Feb 1998.
