The entrepreneurial system: on entrepreneurship in the context of a mega-event
Article Abstract:
A concept of entrepreneurial system is discussed in the context of the industrial changes resulting from the organization of the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. It is argued that an entrepreneurial system involves a mix of actors, roles and environmental factors that influence the entrepreneurial performance of a region. It is also shown that a knowledge of entrepreneurship is crucial to understanding economic development.
