Many observers believe that Cisco is experiencing just the early stages of its success. The company is expected to expand along with the Internet.

Sun Microsystems beats forecasts, despite Asia, with 15% rise in net

Sun Microsystems Inc. reported higher than expected profits for the fiscal 1998 fourth-quarter. The company was able to post solid profits despite the weakness of sales in Asia. Sun Microsystems continued its growth at a more rapid pace than the majority of its computer manufacturing competitors. The company posted a 15% rise in its quarterly net income to $273 million, compared to $237.2 million during the same period in 1997.
