Australians are turning toward foreign financial markets for personal investments because domestic markets show lower returns and are less-diversified than international markets. Australian companies comprise slightly over 1% of international equities markets and are top-heavy in resources. From 1970 through 1998, the Australian sharemarket yielded an average annual return of 14%. For international markets during the same period, the capital index was 16.6%.

Buildings seek cure
Article Abstract:
The importance of quality of air in office buildings is discussed. Polluted air can result in illnesses such as Legionnaire's disease amongst staff. In general staff feel malaise and suffer with headaches or respiratory problems when left in polluted environment. Suggestions are offered for ensuring clean air. The costs associated with the indoor air pollution are also discussed.
