Article Abstract:
Australian Parliamentary Joint Committee has put forth its recommendations to control the fraudulent activities by directors of fly-by-night companies. The reactions of Liquidators, unions, Australian Taxation Office, Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia to the recommendations are discussed. The lack of necessary measures from Austaralian Securities & Investment Commission are also discussed.
