Platform-driven development of product families: linking theory with practice
Article Abstract:
This study uses a multiple-case approach to examine platform-driven development of product families at three technology-driven companies. Accordingly, it is revealed that these companies employ a homogeneous concept of platform-based product families and that their reasons for turning to platform thinking and to encounter comparable risks are similar.
