Precision instrument industry
Article Abstract:
The precision instrument industry should show some growth in 1997 and even further growth throughout years 2000-2002. The stability of domestic economic conditions and strength in the European and Pacific Rim markets, coupled with new product development, cost cutting measures, and price stability provide strength for a diverse industry that provides consumer products and serves manufacturers and defense industries. Cyclicality and a medium Safety rating should deter all but the more adventurous investors.

Precision instrument industry
Article Abstract:
The precision instruments industry's outlook for growth in 1999 appears relatively good, due to a sound U.S. economy and improving economic conditions in Latin American and Europe. During the coming years, moderate growth is expected as it is not believed that there will be a significant increase in the demand for precision instrument products. Despite generally strong expected share-net comparisons, stocks in the instruments industry are well suited only for aggressive investors.
