Public policy and the public interest: What if we mattered more?
Article Abstract:
Many prominent management and organizational scholars express concern over their collective failure to 'matter' more, and their services utilized, in terms of the way management is practiced. They argue that if managers successfully use the research of organization theorists and human researchers in matters related to the public sector, organizations might avoid counter productive investments in ineffective outcomes, thereby becoming more productive and more humane.

Afterword: to the next 50 years
Article Abstract:
This article describes fifty years completed by the field of management research that the way in which it is becoming less dependent on other disciplines for its research base and is impacting other disciplines. It is felt that management journals must explore more things that can be done to enhance the importance and reach of management research just like the discipline of positive psychology.
