Mineral major Zinifex's share prices have risen sharply and the profits for June quarter have trebled. Much of the growth comes from the assets of Pasminco, a financially constrained zinc and lead company that was acquired by Zinifex. It is expected that it will eventually pay dividends, in spite of the low growth plaguing the mineral sector.
