Rail network break -up?
Article Abstract:
The Pacific National joint venture was established by Patrick Corporation and Toll Holdings in 2002 to buy freight businesses of the Federal and New South Wales governments. But Patrick's move to pursue rail interests might result in breaking up of Pacific National. Split of Pacific National will put an end to its superiority and create opportunities for other competitors like Queensland Rail, Australian Railroad Group and Linfox.
