While it was derided as a potential underperformed at the time of its 1995 listing, CountryWide has thrived, primarily due to its focus on investing in regional supermarkets. CountryWide has ridden a boom in the supermarket industry, a boom that has seen regional supermarkets offering better returns than their metropolitan kin.

AMP's shopping-centre trust gets firm support from institutions
