Article Abstract:
Ron Bentley and his two law partners share an office system consisting of an IBM PC, two IBM Displaywriters, a printer and a twelve megabyte hard disk. Files produced on the PC, which store such information as time limitation requirements, case and client details and assessments plus file review schedules, can be accessed instantaneously. Form letters and standard pleadings and precedents are produced with the Textpack 2 word processing program. Text output has been customized to incorporate all variables on which the files are based.

Forecasters' legal problems: how can they protect themselves?
Article Abstract:
Business forecasters, whether working as independents or contracting with parties overseas, should know how they can protect themselves from tort liability and personal liability under common law contract. They should incorporate their business and include in their contract provisions which will free them of responsibility for unintentional damages and limit the liability payments they have to make. A choice of law provision and a mandatory arbitration clause should also be included in the contract.
