Serbia, Montenegro proclaim new Yugoslavia
Article Abstract:
Serbia and Montenegro held a ceremony on April 27, 1992, to proclaim the new Federal Public of Yugoslavia. The ceremony was boycotted by many diplomats, including those from the US and the European Community. The boycott was a protest against the continuing occupation of Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Serbia fails to oust Yugoslav premier
Article Abstract:
Serbian nationalists, possibly led by Pres Slobodan Milosevic, were unsuccessful in their attempt to oust Yugoslav Premier Panic from office. The nationalists believed Panic to be a traitor due to his desire to end the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Bush backs limited use of U.N. force in Bosnia; fighting halts Sarajevo relief effort
Article Abstract:
The UN stopped sending relief flights to Sarajevo on Aug 4, 1992, due to heavy fighting there. Two days later, Pres Bush asked the UN Security Council to pass a resolution that would allow force to be used to protect the relief effort.
