Simple math formulas can help make better business decisions
Article Abstract:
Deciding to shift from sourcing product components to manufacturing them in-house is a common dilemma for most business entities. A simple tabulation of the pros and cons of each procedure is fine but a detailed breakeven analysis will show the business owner exactly what he may be up against. Mathematical questions, such as present cost in dollars of each component, as well as additional fixed costs and variable cost incidental to in-house manufacturing, are the matters which need to be addressed first.
