Sino Land contradicts views of its critics on its finances

Sino Land Company Ltd. Exec Dir Robert Lee Chi-hong said his real estate development company will continue building in Hong Kong despite the downturn in property prices. Chi-hong is optimistic despite the fact that the downturn in the property market has led to a fall in the price of Real estate developers' stock. Sino Land Company's stock has recovered a bit after dropping sharply.

Anna Booth is the spokeswoman for the newly formed Shopping Centre Council, an organization which works to improve the image and relations of shopping centers, long maligned among property owners. Westfield, Lend Lease, AMP, Schroders, and other shopping malls are among the council's membership. After a planned study to determine its goals, the council will develop its policies.

The office of the future is already here, but ... bad timing has spelt disaster for many development projects that looked perfect on paper
Article Abstract:
Future office buildings are a challenge for developers and the UK government has formed the British Council for Offices to address this problem. The council wants to learn from past mistakes and held its first conference in early 1998. Three well known office developments in London called Bedfont Lakes, Stockley Park and Poultry, were discussed during the conference.
