Globalization and the trend to outsource software development to countries such as India have already damaged Australia's software industry and tough accreditation standards will make it hard, maybe impossible, for small software developers to compete. It is felt that if the Australian software engineering industry is to compete, then creativity, innovation and resourcefulness are more important than cost.
