States prove single desk wrong
Article Abstract:
Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland have deregulated their barley marketing by removing barley export single desks. This move has helped the growers and earned the government some votes. Inferences that the Federal Government must draw from these deregulations in the states are also discussed.
