Piracy and discounts, in relation to compact discs (CDs), have affected the Australian music industry very badly and the Australian music industry is finding out new ways to fight this menace. Recent figures show that the Australian music industry is recovering, which can be attributed to the sale of music DVDs, overseas success of music acts and the discovery of new sources of income.
