Steel (general) industry
Article Abstract:
The US economy appears to remain strong in 1999, but the steel (general) industry does not seem to benefit from the good basics and profits will likely abate during the year. Overall changes in the industry are not forecast for the next three to five years, and adjustments to equipment and facilities are expected to be modest. These stocks are not timely in 1999, and investors need to show patience with this industry.
