The importance of internal and external R&D network linkages for R&D organisations: evidence from Singapore

External and internal research and development management needs are identified based on data from 53 multinational corporation subsidiaries in Singapore. These include the need to develop an efficient local external network, and to maintain and/or increase the strategic relevance of the subsidiary site within the global organization.

Corporate venture capital as a strategy for external innovation: an exploratory empirical study
Article Abstract:
The creation of corporate venture capital units by large businesses to attain strategic objectives and external innovations is discussed. Through management analysis of German corporate venture units, it is concluded that dissimilar objectives and short-term financial goals prevent long-term innovation and strategic gains.
